Cross-border transport

Road freight through the border gates with China, Laos and Cambodia, including customs clearance at the border and door delivery.

C.A.S LOGISTICS provides cross-border road freight between Vietnam and its neighbours China, Laos and Cambodia. We organise the whole journey, from pick-up at the shipper’s warehouse and trucking to the border gate, through customs and specialised inspections, to delivery in the destination country.

With experience at the border gates and partners on both sides of the border, C.A.S LOGISTICS advises on the choice of gate, the transfer arrangements and the documents for each commodity, so your cargo clears smoothly and avoids unnecessary costs at the border.

The standard steps of a shipment. The actual flow can vary with the cargo, the route and the delivery terms.

  1. Step 1

    Enquiry and route advice

We identify the cargo, origin, destination and the right border gate, and check commodity rules and quarantine or specialised inspection requirements.

  2. Step 2

    Documents

We prepare the commercial documents, licences and certificates needed in both countries.

    • Contract
    • Commercial invoice
    • Packing list
    • C/O (if any)
  3. Step 3

Pick-up and trucking to the border

The cargo is collected at the shipper's warehouse and trucked to the border gate by vehicles licensed for the route.

  4. Step 4

    Customs at the border gate

Customs declaration, quarantine and specialised inspections where required; handled according to the channel result at the border customs office.

    • Customs declaration
    • Quarantine certificate (if any)
  5. Step 5

    Crossing the border

The truck crosses the border, or the cargo is transferred to a truck from the other country at the yard, under each gate's rules.

  6. Step 6

Clearance and delivery in the destination country

With our partners we clear import customs in the destination country and deliver to the consignee's warehouse.
